Tamsin Drake is a Consultant Urologist who graduated from the University of Southampton in 2009. She completed her Core Surgical Training and Specialist Urological Training within the Wessex Deanery before developing a sub-specialist interest in kidney surgery.
Tamsin is a general urologist with advanced expertise in laparoscopic, robotic and open renal surgery, having completed 18 months of fellowship training at the Bristol Urological Institute between 2017 and 2019. She was appointed as a Consultant Urologist at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital in 2019.
Alongside her sub-specialist renal practice, she provides comprehensive care for a wide range of general urological conditions, including bothersome urinary symptoms, recurrent urinary tract infections, prostate conditions (including raised PSA), haematuria (blood in the urine), and disorders of the penis and scrotum.
Tamsin places strong emphasis on individualised, patient-centred consultations, valuing open dialogue and shared decision-making so patients fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
She has also made significant contributions to the wider urological community, having worked on European Urology Guidelines from 2014 to 2019, and recently chaired sessions at the BAUS Annual and Sub-Speciality Oncology Meetings in 2023.
