Dr Rao is a Consultant Medical Oncologist. Dr Rao specialises in gastrointestinal cancers and cancers of unknown primary. Dr Rao is the lead for cancers of unknown primary at the hospital.
Dr Rao completed medical training at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School. They then undertook specialist oncology training at The Royal Marsden. Their laboratory-based research at The Institute of Cancer Research, which was supported by an academic grant, examined the prognostic and predictive value of genomic profiling of tumour biopsies in oesophago-gastric cancer.
