He leads several specialist services across the North East and Cumbria, including the Advanced Emphysema Service, where he treats patients with complex and severe disease, and the Severe Asthma Service, delivering innovative treatments that have significantly improved patient outcomes.
He also leads the Non-Invasive Ventilation service, supporting patients with sleep-related breathing disorders through therapies such as CPAP. His clinical interests include interventional bronchoscopy, lung cancer, pleural disease, sleep apnoea and post-COVID respiratory symptoms, alongside advanced treatments such as endobronchial valves for COPD.
