About
Dr Mendis earned his medical degree (MBBS) from the University of New South Wales in 2010 followed by his rigorous general surgery training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. This led to him becoming a Fellow of the the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2019.
In 2020-2021, Dr Mendis further honed his expertise as the Head and Neck and Surgical Oncology fellow at Westmead Hospital. Subsequently, he underwent intensive fellowship training in Head and Neck surgery and microvascular reconstruction at Wollongong Hospital in 2022, followed by advanced training at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse Hospital in 2023. Throughout these experiences, he gained comprehensive skills in managing various thyroid and parathyroid conditions, including cases of intricate malignancies.
