About

Mr Prem Moras is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with a subspecialist focus on foot and ankle disorders. He graduated from St John’s Medical College in 1996 and completed his basic surgical training within the Liverpool & North Wales rotation, achieving MRCS (Ed).

He went on to complete higher specialist orthopaedic training in the Leeds and Wessex deaneries, where he was awarded FRCS (Tr & Orth). Following this, he undertook advanced fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery in Melbourne, further refining his expertise in complex lower limb conditions.

Mr Moras has served as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital, where his elective practice has been dedicated to foot and ankle surgery. His clinical expertise includes the management of sports injuries such as ankle ligament reconstruction and arthroscopic (“keyhole”) procedures, deformity correction including bunion surgery and flatfoot reconstruction, and degenerative conditions requiring corrective fusions or ankle replacement.

He also provides non-operative management options, including physiotherapy, podiatry referral, orthotic support, and image-guided injections using X-ray and ultrasound guidance. His approach emphasises a balanced use of surgical and conservative treatments tailored to each patient’s needs.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Moras is actively involved in research and medical education. He has published on outcomes in orthopaedics and lower limb reconstruction, and contributes to training as an Educational and Clinical Supervisor for orthopaedic trainees. He also serves as MSK Governance Lead at his hospital and participates in national recruitment for orthopaedic training.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”

— Mr Prem Moras
