Dr Pragati Kakkar is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in fertility and reproductive medicine. She has more than twelve years of NHS experience and is the Founder and Director of United Wellness, where she leads women’s health services.
She trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Guy’s and St Thomas’, Kingston Hospital, and Royal Surrey County Hospital. She is a fully accredited member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and also holds memberships with the British Fertility Society, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG), and the British Menopause Society.
Her clinical expertise covers fertility investigations and treatments, including intrauterine insemination (IUI), IVF/ICSI, preimplantation genetic testing, ovulation induction, and advanced gynaecological scanning. She provides expert gynaecology care encompassing women’s health scans, diagnostic assessments, and support for general gynaecological conditions and early pregnancy concerns. She also holds certification in menopause management.
Dr Kakkar has contributed to research and quality improvement within the NHS. She was a lead investigator in the LOCI trial for patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and has undertaken several quality improvement projects. During the COVID-19 pandemic, her contribution was recognised with the Trainee Award for Outstanding Contribution.
Alongside her clinical practice, she is committed to education and mentorship in women’s health.
