Winston Kim is an experienced, full time private Hip and Knee Specialist who has performed the largest number of private MAKO robot-arm assisted hip and knee replacements in the United Kingdom.*
Robot-arm assisted hip, total knee and partial knee replacements (MAKO, Stryker) are considered by many to be leading edge technology in hip and knee replacement surgery. Mr Kim has performed more than 1,500 robot-assisted hip, knee and partial knee replacements (almost equal split of hip and knee replacements)and more than 2,000 conventional hip and knee replacements. Mr Kim pioneered Robotic-Assisted lower limb surgery in the North West. The main focus of his practice is treatment of hip and knee arthritis. Multiple studies have shown the higher the volume of hip and knee replacements performed by a surgeon, the better the outcomes.
