Peter Monksfield is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon based in Birmingham. He currently sees private patients at the following locations:

Peter is an expert in managing disorders of the ears and hearing including tumours related to the inner ear such as acoustic neuromas, glomus tumours, and other malignant tumours. This also includes hearing loss, tinnitus and vertigo. He has extensive experience in hearing implants.

He completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester in 1997 and later completed his specialty ENT training in Oxford and London. He completed his higher surgical training in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Following his training, he completed a fellowship in Neurotology and Cochlear Implant Surgery in Australia at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is a Fellow in Otorhinolaryngology & Head-Neck Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust in 2010.

He has performed over 1200 major ear operations including eardrum repair, mastoid surgery for chronic ear disease and cholesteatoma, Cochlear implants and bone-anchored and bone conducting hearing implants.
