Mr Sains qualified in Medicine in 1995 with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees at The University of Birmingham Medical School. He completed a Doctor of Medicine at The University of London in 2009. In 2008 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and in 2016 he was awarded a Master of Laws in Medical Law (LLM) from the University of Northumbria.
In addition, Dr Sains is interested in research regarding patient safety, clinical governance, medical law, coloproctology and hernia, he has many professional publications. He has also received awards including Imperial College, London, Research Excellence Award 2006. He is also interested in sports, theatre and travelling.
