About Mr Michael May
Mr Michael May is Surgical Hair loss Specialist based in London, UK. Since becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1980 he was dedicated himself solely to the science and practice of hair transplant and restoration. With over 25 years' experience he has been at the forefront of medical advances in the specialist field of hair transplant for more than three decades and is considered a leading UK authority in the field. He was instrumental in the development of the follicular unit transplant (FUT) technique which has revolutionised hair restoration surgery worldwide and has become a mainstay technique within the industry. With extensive depth of knowledge and experience he has successfully carried out over 10,000 hair transplant procedures. He and team have establish an unrivalled reputation in the UK and internationally for their innovative techniques in hair transplant surgery and restoration, medical excellence and high level of patient care. Due to his expertise, in 2002 he became a certified member of American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, making him the first surgeon outside of the USA to be appointed to this position.
