Mr Kelvin Lau is a consultant thoracic surgeon at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London and at the Cleveland Clinic. His clinical interests include treating lung cancer and lung nodules with minimally invasive single-port keyhole surgery and robotic surgery whilst preserving healthy lung with segmentectomy, navigation bronchoscopy for biopsy and ablation of tumours to preserving lung function, as well as pneumothorax, pleural effusion, thymus tumours, chest wall problems and diaphragm problems. He works closely with all his patients to ensure that they receive the best care throughout their treatment.
As one of London's leading consultant thoracic surgeons, Mr Lau uses cutting-edge technology to diagnose and treat cancer. He is the first medical professional in Europe to use a new and innovative technology to diagnose early lung cancer safely with lower risk of pain and pneumothorax. Mr Lau is also the first surgeon to have performed an endobronchial microwave ablation of a lung tumour through an endoscope without needing an incision or needle.
Mr Lau works across some of London's leading clinics and hospitals, including the Cleveland Clinic London and St Bartholomew's Hospital.
