About
Mr Hartwright was awarded his medical degree from the University of Birmingham and underwent specialist surgical training in London (Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital). He underwent specialist fellowship training in orthopaedic surgery in renowned centres in Sydney, Australia and Zurich, Switzerland. During this time, he gained extensive experience in all aspects of trauma surgery, as well as orthopaedic hip and knee surgery. His areas of interest include primary and revision hip arthroplasty, degenerative knee disorders, primary and revision knee arthroplasty, sports injuries, meniscal disease and trauma surgery.
As well as his busy clinical practice, Mr Hartwright is involved in academic research and medical education. He has published a number of articles in prominent orthopaedic journals, has presented his work at various national and international meetings, and acts as a reviewer for a variety of academic journals. He is currently an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and acts as an educational supervisor for the Wessex Deanery. He is committed to providing excellence and optimising outcomes for orthopaedic patients.
