With over 20 years of experience in glaucoma and cataract surgery, he has earned a reputation for precision, expertise, and compassionate, patient-centred care. As the Medical Director of Magrabi Eye Hospital in Dubai, Dr. Aly combines advanced technology with personalised treatment, providing exceptional ophthalmic care to patients across the UAE and internationally.
Dr. Aly graduated from Cairo University in 1982, completed his Master’s in Ophthalmology in 1988, and undertook a fellowship in glaucoma in 1995. In 1999, he was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Over the course of his career, he has held positions including Registrar and Glaucoma Fellow at Magrabi Eye Hospital in Jeddah, Assistant Consultant Ophthalmologist at Magrabi Eye Center in Muscat, Oman, and Consultant Ophthalmologist at Magrabi Eye Center across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Cairo since 2003.
His clinical expertise spans comprehensive glaucoma management and advanced cataract surgery, enabling patients to regain and preserve their vision using the latest surgical techniques. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Aly has contributed significantly to the field through international conferences, publications on glaucoma and cataract, and by participating in ophthalmic education programs such as i-Learn, which aim to advance knowledge and skills among eye care professionals.
