I’m Mairead Lucy an experienced physiotherapist with advanced training in women’s health, pelvic health and sports physiotherapy.

I’m a women’s health, sports and pelvic floor physiotherapist, founder of Pelican Health in Langwarrin, and a mum of three. I know firsthand how hard it can be to access quality care during life’s biggest transitions.

I channel my time and energy into empowering women and those with female-health concerns to enjoy movement through life! It is part of my  a lifelong belief that women and those with female-specific health concerns deserve informed, not adapted, healthcare.




Here’s what fires me up:


Women in Australia have one of the lowest physical activity rates globally and live with lower quality of life and higher rates of chronic pain than males!

Meanwhile, research keeps showing that physiotherapy offers better outcomes, fewer side effects and greater cost-effectiveness than many surgeries — especially for women’s and pelvic health.


So why are we still “just doing our Kegels” in the dark without really knowing how and hoping for the best?  Strong, pain-free and proud of their bodies should be the norm for Aussie girls and women. From puberty to pregnancy, postpartum to menopause, I am here to empower you to run, lift, play and live with the kind of expert support you should’ve had all along. 

I am proudly inclusive, LGBTQIA+ safe, and available Australia-wide via telehealth.
