Dr Louise Baur is a Paediatrician and an internationally recognised child and adolescent obesity researcher. Dr Baur has been instrumental in raising the profile of child and adolescent obesity as an issue of clinical and public health importance, in Australia and internationally.
Dr Baur graduated in medicine in 1981 and subsequently trained in general paediatrics in Sydney and London. They were awarded a PhD in the area of paediatric nutrition in 1993.
Dr Baur is a recipient of the Order of Australia for service to medicine, particularly in the field of paediatric obesity as a researcher and academic, and to the community through support for children's charities.
