In 2008, she and her family migrated to Australia. A year later, she graduated from the Royal College of Australian General Practitioners, becoming a permanent resident of Australia.
Dr. Ligia has expressed immense gratitude for the privilege of serving the patients of Ormeau Family Practice, where she has worked alongside its dedicated staff and doctors since almost the practice's inception in 2011. Her passion for family medicine stems from the opportunity to treat patients within the context of their families and communities, which she believes provides unique insights into their overall health. This perspective enables her to create comprehensive and meaningful management plans for both individual patients and their families.
Dr. Ligia has a special interest in Women's Health, Children's Health, Antenatal Care, and Preventative Medicine. Outside of her professional life, she dedicates her energy to raising her three daughters alongside her supportive husband, cherishing the family-focused values that drew her to family medicine in the first place.
