Dr Zhu completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2007, followed by general surgery training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015 and later completed post-fellowship sub-specialist training in colorectal surgery at Wollongong Hospital. Subsequently, she gained fellowship to the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia & New Zealand (CSSANZ), training at The Alfred Hospital Melbourne and Concord General & Repatriation Hospital. Dr Zhu has further robotic surgery training from Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Dr Zhu also holds a Masters of Surgery degree in Colorectal Surgery from the University of Sydney.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Zhu has contributed to multiple scientific publications and serves as a reviewer for the Australia & New Zealand Journal of Surgery.
