Dr Husnia Gargash is a highly experienced and reputable Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 35 years of experience. She is based in Dubai and is the Founder and Chairperson of Gargash Hospital.
Dr Gargash completed her medical degree at the University of Baghdad, Iraq in 1982. She later moved to the UK and obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics in Dublin, followed by her Membership and Fellowship with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London. During this time, she also practiced at renowned hospitals such as Guy’s Hospital, Newham Hospital, Whittington Hospital and Hillingdon Hospital.
Dr Gargash returned to the UAE in 1991 and began practicing at Al Wasl Hospital as a Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, becoming the first Emirati gynaecologist in the UAE. During this time, she also became an Associate Professor at Dubai Medical College. Her passion for reproductive medicine and assisted reproduction led her to pursue subspecialty training in this field under the guidance of reproductive medicine pioneer Professor Ian Craft.
In 2019, she founded the multispecialty centre Gargash Hospital with the vision to provide end-to-end solutions for all gynaecological related problems, and to help her patients fulfil their dreams of having a family. Her achievements and contributions have made her a respected figure in the medical community in the UAE and beyond.
As an expert in reproductive medicine, Dr Gargash assesses and investigates an expansive range of gynaecological conditions and has specialist expertise in assisted reproductive techniques (ART).
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Gargash also holds professional memberships with the General Medical Council (UK), the European Society of Human Reproduction and Endocrinology and the Emirates Medical Association.
