Dr Husam Alqerem is a dedicated Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. Dr Alqerem earned his medical degree from the Al-Mustansiriya University, College of Medicine, in 1989. He later completed his neurology residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine between 1993 and 1997. Following this, he undertook a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre, which he completed in 1999. Dr Alqerem is a fellow of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
He is board-certified in adult neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and sleep medicine. His clinical practice is focused on the treatment of conditions such as epilepsy, sleep disorders, and neuromuscular diseases. He also has extensive experience in headache management and the use of Botox injections for various neurological disorders. Dr Alqerem has a particular interest in treating patients with sleep disorders and interpreting sleep studies.
