About
Emma thrives on the challenge of helping her patients manage complex and long-term/chronic medical conditions, utilising preventative medical techniques and detailed health screenings. She prides herself on building excellent and highly communicative relationships with patients and their families alike; well known for her compassion, meticulous attention to detail, and professionalism.
Emma has worked extensively within the Guys and St Thomas’ hospital trust (GSTT, London) since 2018 – currently working in their A&E department with a specialist interest in Emergency care of adults and children. Previously, she has held roles in their paediatrics specialist hospital (the Evelina London Children’s Hospital), Obstetrics and Gynaecology department, and Elderly Care specialist units. In other London teaching hospitals, Emma has worked in women’s health, psychiatry, diabetes, stroke, respiratory, gastroenterology, and acute general medicine.
During medical school, Emma was recognised for her outstanding performance through the award of Prestigious "Honours" in her MBChB degree. Aditionally, she obtained a further BSc degree in Primary Care (General Practice), and gained Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners following specialist training at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital, London.
Beyond Palace Gate Practice, Emma has been a member of the GP team at a number of London NHS GP practices and retains a part-time role within an NHS practice.
Throughout her career, Emma has relished teaching junior doctors and medical students, embedding safe working practices into ongoing skills development of the next generation of doctors.
In her personal life, Emma is married to a sustainable energy consultant. They live together in SW London. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, skiing, and long walks with the dog.
