About Dr Emily Derrick
Dr Emily Derrick is a Consultant Paediatrician specialising in paediatric allergy and general paediatrics. She completed specialist training in paediatric allergy at St Mary’s Hospital, the Royal London Hospital and Evelina Children’s Hospital. During this time, she also obtained a Master’s degree in Allergy. Dr Derrick is currently the Lead for Paediatric Allergy at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, where she provides care for children from birth through to 18 years. Her clinical practice also incorporates the use of diagnostic techniques such as skin prick testing and specific IgE blood testing to guide accurate assessment and management. In addition, Dr Derrick has developed a community-based eczema education service, reflecting her particular interest in paediatric eczema. Dr Derrick also works as a general paediatrician and is experienced in the management of paediatric conditions in infants, children and young people. Alongside her NHS role, she is the Paediatric Scientific Programme Director for the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) and leads the British Paediatric Allergy Network, a professional forum for clinicians in the field.
