Dr. med. Duygu Tessmar begann ihr Medizinstudium an der RWTH Aachen. Bereits in ihrem ersten Studienjahr wurde sie in die Hochbegabtenstiftung Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes aufgenommen. Ihre ärztliche Tätigkeit begann sie im Fachbereich Chirurgie an der Universitätsklinik Aachen. In dieser Zeit publizierte sie chirurgische Forschungsarbeiten in mehreren international anerkannten Journalen. Im Jahr 2006 schloss Dr. med. Tessmar ihre Promotion im Fach Chirurgie mit summa cum laude zum Thema Wundheilung ab.
Schon während ihrer Zeit in der Chirurgie entdeckte Dr. med. Tessmar ihre Leidenschaft für die ästhetische Medizin und begann mit ersten Fortbildungen in diesem Bereich. Mit zunehmender Erfahrung wurde ihr klar, dass für ein gelungenes Behandlungsergebnis die individuellen Vorstellungen, die Berücksichtigung der Selbstwahrnehmung und das Verstehen der damit verbundenen Bedürfnisse der Patientinnen und Patienten von essentieller Bedeutung sind. Dr. med. Tessmar ist Mitglied der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Ästhetische Botulinum- und Filler-Therapie e.V.
