About Mr Stephen Green
I qualified from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1993 and the majority of my medical and specialist orthopaedic training has been in the North East of England. I completed a Fellowship in specialist surgical training in Auckland, New Zealand in 2005. I was appointed consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Sunderland Royal Hospital in 2005 and I've worked in clinical practice and various clinical leadership positions for South Tyneside and Sunderland Trust ever since then. My main clinical interests are in hip and knee replacement surgery particularly complex and revision cases and those in younger patients.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
