Dr Shahbaz Roshan-Zamir is a consultant physician and geriatrician specialising in geriatrics and cardiovascular diseases in the elderly.
He is a consultant in general medicine at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and recently developed the Cardiology for Older Persons Service, which supports cardiology, particularly the heart failure and TAVI teams. He also helps manage the Frailty Service at St Thomas' and provides care for both inpatients and outpatients.
Dr Roshan-Zamir has vast experience in geriatric and general medicine with an emphasis on cardiovascular disease, particularly heart failure and valve disease in the elderly. His specialist interests are in the following areas:

He is a fully qualified echocardiographer, recognised by the British Society of Echocardiography, and has been performing echocardiograms since 1998.
Dr Roshan-Zamir gained his medical qualifications from Guy's, King's, and St Thomas' Medical School in 2006 and was appointed Consultant Physician and Geriatrician in the Department of Ageing and Health in 2017. He is Vice-Chair of the British Geriatrics Society's Cardiovascular Section and organises, chairs, and presents at national conferences on cardiovascular diseases in the elderly.
