Dr Raj Mallipeddi is a leading Consultant Dermatologist with HCA Healthcare at Sydney Street Outpatients and Diagnostics Centre. Additionally, he is the Clinical Lead at the Dermatological Surgery and Laser Unit at St. John's Institute of Dermatology.
Dr Mallipeddi was awarded his Medical Degree from the renowned Imperial College London. Following this he completed his specialist dermatology training at St. Johns Institute of Dermatology. He spent two years researching with the Genetic Skin Disease Group at St John's Institute of Dermatology and was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (MD) Degree for his research into the study of squamous cell carcinoma in epidermolysis bullosa. He spent a year in Dallas, USA undertaking a fellowship in Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology. Dr Mallipeddi has been the President of the British Society for Dermatological Surgery and is currently a member of the British Association of Dermatologists' (BAD) national guideline committees for basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and photodynamic therapy. He is also chair of the BAD national service standards for Mohs micrographic surgery and heavily involved in medical education as the national curriculum lead for Mohs and Advanced Dermatological Surgery.
