His work in dermatology also earned him the distinction of becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2012.

As a founder of the British Hair and Nail Society and a Fellow of the European Hair Research Society, he actively contributes to research, guidelines, and education in this field. As part of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team (MDT) at Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals, Dr. Farrant performs over 400 skin cancer surgeries annually, ensuring comprehensive care for his patients. He is involved with professional organisations such as the British Association of Dermatologists, American Academy of Dermatology, and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
