His research focuses on menopause, premature ovarian insufficiency, premenstrual syndrome, androgens, and contraception, and includes both translational and pharmaceutically sponsored studies. He continues to collaborate on research initiatives with institutions such as Imperial College London and runs active clinical programmes from locations including One Welbeck.

Professor Panay also serves as a Guest Professor at the Beijing Obstetrics and Gynaecology Hospital, Capital Medical University. He is committed to advancing education in women’s health and is a recognised global figure in this field. His leadership roles include Immediate Past President of the International Menopause Society, Past Chairman of the British Menopause Society, and Medical Advisory Council Member for the British Menopause Society. He is also Chairman of the National Association for Premenstrual Syndromes and serves on the Clinical Advisory Board of the International Association for Premenstrual Disorders. His work has also supported patient advocacy as Patron of the Daisy Network.
