Dr Clauge graduated from St Mary's Hospital Medical School in London in 1985 before undertaking cardiology training at Barts and The London NHS Trust. He then became a Senior Registrar at the Royal Brompton and St George's NHS Trust before being appointed as a Consultant in 1997.
Dr Jonathan Clague has an academic interest in using stem cell therapy to treat advanced heart failure; this process involves injecting a patient's autologous bone marrow cells into their heart.
