Dr Daniela Tonucci
Anaesthetics
About
Dr. Tonucci qualified for medicine in 1995 at Bristol University, after which she began her specialist training at the British School of Anaesthesia. She also undertook her general medicine and paediatrics training in Sydney, Australia. After training in pain management at the Royal United Hospital, she qualified for an advanced senior fellowship in pain training with the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Upon completion, she gained fellowship with the Royal College of Anaesthetists and then went on to become a consultant in pain medicine at the Royal County Surrey Hospital.
Pain psychology and mindfulness-based techniques that can be used to manage pain are other areas of Dr. Tonucci's interest. Where appropriate, she can offer patients advice on how to access additional sources of pain-relief support, such as physiotherapy, osteopathy and acupunture.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
