About Debbie McKenzie
Professional career Debbie McKenzie is a Dental Hygienist at Vermilion and works closely with our periodontal team to provide long-term maintenance support for patients in Edinburgh. After graduating, Debbie gained her experience working at King’s Cross Hospital in London as a Staff Hygienist. She returned to her hometown, Glasgow, where she worked for 16 years in specialist referral dental practices as well as general dental practice. Debbie then joined Glasgow’s Dental Hospital and progressed to the post of Clinical Research Hygienist in the Clinical Research Facility, where she managed the Facility and treated patients who were recruited in commercial and academic clinical trials for four years. She continues to work part-time as a key opinion leader and speaker for implant maintenance courses and postgraduate hygienist training courses across Scotland. Academic career Debbie McKenzie graduated from Glasgow Dental Hospital in 2001.
