About

Dr Dane Vishnubala is a Consultant Physician in Sport and Exercise Medicine with extensive experience in his field. In addition to his clinical work he holds several senior roles with Public health England, Office Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) and the Royal College of GPs (RCGP). He has an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine, an MSc in Medical Education and a PhD in Medical Sciences.

Dane is the Managing Director of Yorkshire Sports Medicine, with a wealth of experience spanning elite sport, the NHS, and specialist training. His extensive background revealed to him that musculoskeletal medicine often falls short of the standards found in elite settings, where a diverse team of clinicians, including doctors, physiotherapists, sports therapists, and podiatrists, work collaboratively to place the patient's interests at the centre of care.

With this in mind, Yorkshire Sports Medicine was designed to bring together the best healthcare professionals under one roof, ensuring that patients receive the right care at the right stage of their treatment journey. Over the past decade, Dane has managed and advised several companies, founding CORE Fitness Education eight years ago, a training company that educates students to become personal trainers. He was also accepted onto the prestigious NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and aims to merge his passions for medicine, business, and education to create a truly unique clinic offering high-quality care.

In addition, Dane developed Medinotes in 2012, a secure, end-to-end encrypted medical notes storage system, which is currently used by Yorkshire Sports Medicine Clinic.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”

— Dr Dane Vishnubala
