Ophthalmology
About
A graduate of the University of Manchester in 2008, Mr Yeo completed his ophthalmology training within the Wales deanery. During his registrar years, he contributed to the surgical skills faculty and served as an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He was also an active committee member of the Ophthalmologists-in-Training Group and founded the Welsh Ophthalmic Trainees Society.
Following his residency, Mr Yeo further honed his expertise through fellowships at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Moorfields Eye Hospital, and the Royal London Hospital before assuming his consultant role in Liverpool. His surgical practice encompasses general ophthalmology and strabismus surgery, with a focus on meeting patient expectations with minimal surgical intervention, scarring, and discomfort.
An accomplished academic, Mr Yeo has published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and contributed several book chapters. His research interests, which include visual development, strabismus, and ophthalmic phenotyping, have led him to present at international conferences and serve as an invited speaker at the Royal Society of Medicine.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
