About Dr Chirag Oza
Dr Oza is a Consultant Hepatologist speacialising in Upper GI and HPB work, including ERCP and EUS. He is employed by the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, working predominantly out of Basildon and Broomfield Hospitals. He has close links with Tertiary Liver Transplant Centres at Addenbrooke's Hosptial, Cambridge, and Royal Free Hospital, London. Additionally, He has links with the HPB Surgeons at the Royal Free Hosptial, London. He works closely with local Upper GI surgeons for diagnosis and management of oesophagogastric cancer diagnosis and symptom management (e.g. upper GI stenting). Diseases, Medical Tests and TreatmentsInvestigation and management of deranged liver function blood tests Investigation and treatment of Upper GI bleeding, including gastric ulcers Diagnostic and therapeutic Upper GI endoscopy ERCP and common bile duct stone removal, or stenting of common bile duct due to benign or malignant obstruction Diagnostic EUS including fine needle biopsy of pancreatico-biliary lesions and gastric lesions e.g, GIST. Upper GI stenting Colorectal cancer stenting (left colon) Diagnosis of Pancreatic and Biliary cancer ERCP and common bile duct stone removal, or stenting of common bile duct due to benign or malignant obstruction Diagnostic EUS including fine needle biopsy of pancreatico-biliary lesions and gastric lesions e.g, GIST.
