He later achieved a certificate in laser and refractive surgery from The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and went on to gain his FRCOphth (Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists) as well as his FEBOS-CR (Fellow of the EBO Subspecialty Cataract & Refractive Surgery Diploma) from the European Board of Ophthalmology.
