Dr Alexandra Economacos is a highly experienced radiologist. They are an expert in the interpretation of film and digital mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. Dr Economacos performs a range of procedures, including sonographic aspirations or breast core biopsies for palpable or sonographically visualised breast masses. They also perform stereotactic vacuum-assisted biopsies using a Mammotome for impalpable lesions, sonographic and mammographic hook wire placements pre-breast surgery, and tumour marker localisations. These procedures assist in the early diagnosis of breast cancer and aid in the continued follow-up of patients as they undergo the necessary treatments to survive the disease.
