Dr. Hannon completed his (M.B.B.Ch) Bachelor of Medicine and General Surgery in 2004 from the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University, one of the leading Medical Schools in Egypt. He then went on to complete his Internship and Residency Training Research Institute of Ophthalmology, Cairo, Egypt and received his Master Degree in 2009 from Ain-Shams University, Egypt.
Dr. Hannon became a certified member of the International Council of Ophthalmology of Cambridge in 2010, after which he completed his fellowship in Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK in 2014, Followed by completion of his PhD degree in Ophthalmology in 2015.
Dr. Hannon is a passionate educator and previously had the role of Assistant Lecturer of Ophthalmology at Research Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO)- Cairo-Egypt (2008-2014). After this he then become a Specialist in Pediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus in Dubai Hospital (DH), Dubai, UAE (2011-2013). From 2014 until present Dr Hannon is the Lecturer of Ophthalmology (Pediatric Ophthalmology Department) in Research Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO)- Cairo-Egypt.
From 2021 until present Dr Hannon is working as Consultant Ophthalmologist / Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Surgeon (Visiting Doctor) at Eye Consultants Center, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai -UAE, where he is an important member of the team.
