Dr Alsulami obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King Abdulaziz University. He later completed a Respiratory Fellowship at the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland. He is a licensed Consultant by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. He is a member of several professional organisations, including the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST), the European Respiratory Society (ERS), and the Saudi Thoracic Society (STS).
