Dr Abeer Faek Al Gergawy is a highly experienced specialist obstetrician and gynecologist based at United Medical Center (UMC). She has a wealth of knowledge with over 25 years gained from working in a range of different hospitals, including Al Wasal Hospital, International Modern Hospital, Mediclinic, and Dr. Sulaiman al Habib Hospital.
She offers a vast range of services to her patients including the management of routine gynecological care as well as LLETZ.
The following procedures are offered for pregnancy:
All methods of induced labor
Normal labor
Instrumental deliveries: forceps and ventose
Vaginal delivery of twin pregnancy
Trail of labor for previous lower segment caesarean section by vaginal delivery
Assisted breech delivery in multiparous women
Dealing with eclampsia and pre-eclampsia
She is also able to treat diabetic and heart disease patients and she has expertise in all obstetric emergency operations. Additionally, she is skilled in laparoscopic surgery, as well as hysterectomies, tubal ligation, diagnostic hysteroscopy, and dilatation and curettage (polypectomy).
Dr Al Gergawy is also able to perform ovarian cystectomies and sees patients with complaints such as torsion ovarian cysts and Bartholin abscess and cysts.
She also has expertise in all types of miscarriage, infertility and all methods of contraception.
Dr Al Geragwy gained her medical qualifications from Dubai Medical College for Girls (UAE) in 1994. She joined The Arab Board of Health Specializations, Syria in 2010.
