Professor Abdullah Alsubaie is a respected Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience in the field of mental health. His commitment to education was recognised in 2006 when he was named the best teacher of psychiatry by the medical education and postgraduate studies department at the Faculty of Medicine, King Saud University.
He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with an 'excellent' grade from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah in 1982. He then achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry in 1989. Professor Alsubaie is a member of several professional bodies, including the American Psychiatric Association, the Islamic World Psychiatric Union, and the Saudi Psychiatric Association. He was also a founder and president of the Saudi Board of Psychiatry.
