Rockfield Care Home located near to Newry City centre is a contemporary purpose-built 34-bed care home that provides expert nursing care, short-term/respite care, and end-of-life/palliative care. Rockfield aims to care for its residents in a way that encourages independence and autonomy while also being there to support residents with their individual needs. Staff take a person-centred approach to care and treat residents with dignity and respect, taking into account not only their symptoms and conditions but also a person's preferences and overall wellbeing. Rockfield strives to create an environment in which your loved ones feel as if they are Living Amongst Friends.
Rockfield offers state-of-the-art facilities in a homely environment with a choice of lounge areas complete with purpose-built furnishings, allowing for residents to choose where to relax. All bedrooms are well equipped and tastefully decorated, and residents are encouraged to add their own personal touches. Chefs at Rockfield prepare a variety of fresh, nutritious meals that are able to meet any dietary or cultural requirements, and they pride themselves on knowing which food residents like. Social interaction is highly encouraged at Rockfield and many activities are put on for residents to enjoy. The Activities Coordinator ensures to offer fun, therapeutic activities based on residents' interests as well as events and bus trips that family and friends are encouraged to attend. Weekly church services for people of all faiths are also held at Rockfield.
