Malou (Xiao Chun Wang) is an experienced Chinese acupuncturist and accredited counsellor based in Dublin, with over 25 years of practice in both China and Ireland. To bring her expertise to Ireland, Malou completed two years of additional study, earning a Diploma in Acupuncture from Shanghai Acupuncture College Ireland. In 2010, she furthered her clinical skills by practising in Gynaecology and Oncology departments at Yue Yang Hospital in Shanghai.
In addition to acupuncture, Malou is a proud full member of IACP and a member of ICEEFT. Her therapeutic approach is humanistic integrative, drawing from various frameworks such as attachment theory, CBT, existentialism, and mindfulness. She specialises in Emotional Focus Therapy (EFT) to foster harmonious connections within individuals and couples.
Malou's specialties include addressing emotional conditions like stress, anxiety, depression, and insomnia, as well as providing support for cancer care, gynaecological issues. Also, she offers a group therapy to support women's menstrual health through TCM, psychology and shamanism lenses to understand the power within. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and diplomas in Acupuncture and Herbalism.
