Dr William John Ferguson
Psychiatry
About
Dr Ferguson studied Medicine at the University of Aberdeen, developing a keen interest in consciousness and the brain, leading him to pursue an additional degree in Neuroscience. He graduated in 1997 with a BSc (Med Sci) in Neuroscience and an MBChB medical degree. Dr Ferguson's natural ability to listen to patients and understand the complexities of their lives led him to choose psychiatry as a specialty. He relocated to Edinburgh in early 2000 to commence his training in psychiatry.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
