Dr Alner is a Consultant Geriatrician.
Dr Alner graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1995. She later received a master's degree in medical ethics and law at King's College London.
Dr Alner established a new orthogeriatric service at a hospital and provides inpatient care for frail older patients following falls and fractures. Dr Alner has a particular interest in falls and osteoporosis and has established a new fully integrated service in falls and bone health at their trust.
Dr Alner was the clinical lead for falls prevention in Herefordshire and co-ordinates falls services between primary and secondary care in partnership with the county falls practitioner, GPs, public health and the falls strategy group.
