About Ms Tripti John
Tripti John is an accredited integrative therapist with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). With a broad range of experience, Tripti specialises in trauma-focused therapy and utilises a person-centred approach to create a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients. Her therapeutic practice is rooted in the belief that a caring and relaxed environment can facilitate meaningful exploration and healing. In addition to her person-centred work, Tripti incorporates emotion-focused therapy (EFT) into her practice. She holds the view that effective emotional regulation is crucial for developing a coherent sense of self and achieving emotional balance. Since joining Priory in March 2022, Tripti has been involved in running group therapies for inpatients and providing both face-to-face and online therapy to inpatients and outpatients. She has a Foundation Degree in Arts in Counselling from the University of Plymouth. Tripti has further enhanced her skills with various specialised courses designed to support clients who have experienced trauma and abuse. These include training in Addiction, the Brain and Recovery, an introduction to the Internal Family Systems Model for Healing Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, and Addiction, Transforming Trauma with Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and addressing Toxic Shame in Clinical Practice.
