About

Dr. Thomas Tull is a highly regarded Consultant Dermatologist with a substantive position at the prestigious St John’s Institute of Dermatology, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. He has a strong focus on autoimmune skin conditions and immunology.

Dr. Tull completed his medical degree at Imperial College London, graduating in 2007 with distinction. During his time at Imperial College, he also earned eight academic prizes, including the esteemed Faculty of Medicine Prize.

In his general dermatology practice, Dr. Tull provides expert care for various skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, mole checks, and skin cancer. However, his sub-specialty interests lie in autoimmune skin conditions, specifically cutaneous lupus and immunobullous disorders. Within the NHS, he runs specialised clinics dedicated to these areas, ensuring patients receive the highest level of care and expertise.

Dr. Tull also holds a role as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. He completed a PhD in Immunology at the institution, focusing on conditions where the immune system targets the skin and exploring the role of the gut in shaping human immunity. His research is internationally recognised, and he has contributed numerous scientific papers to high-impact journals, including Nature Communications and The Journal of Experimental Medicine. Dr. Tull has also actively participated as an investigator in various clinical trials related to conditions such as hidradenitis suppurativa, eczema, and bullous pemphigoid.

Dr. Thomas Tull is a respected member of several professional organisations, including:

• The British Association of Dermatologists
