About
She completed specialist ophthalmology training across multiple NHS trusts in the East of England, including Cambridge University Hospitals, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals, and West Suffolk Hospital. During her training, she undertook a dedicated Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, focusing on advanced anterior segment and refractive procedures.
Her earlier medical training included foundation posts at Nottingham University Hospitals and United Lincolnshire Hospitals, followed by a series of ophthalmology training posts progressing from Specialty Trainee (ST3–ST7) level. She has developed broad experience across general ophthalmology and subspecialist corneal disease.
Miss Patel graduated in Medicine from Brighton and Sussex Medical School (MBBS) in 2011. She also holds postgraduate qualifications in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge, including both a Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma.
Her clinical practice includes cataract surgery, corneal disease management, and refractive procedures. She has an interest in medical education and has contributed to training within ophthalmology throughout her career progression.
