Mr Talal Jabbar works at Dr Sulaiman AlHabib Medical Group in Dubai as a Consultant Urological Surgeon. He was previously based at Bristol Urological Institute, one of the best major tertiary urology centres in the UK.
His special interests are functional urology, andrology, infertility, stones, general core urology, female urology, and reconstructive urology.
His practice specialises in treating bladder dysfunction, male and female incontinence (including colposuspension, autologous fascial sling, TVT, male sling, artificial urinary sphincter implantation, urinary fistulae and diverticula surgery, bladder augmentation, bladder replacement and both continent and incontinent urinary diversion. He is particularly interested in the management of bladder overactivity, voiding dysfunction, and pain syndromes which he treats using medical treatment, Botox, sacral neuromodulation, and complex urodynamics.
After graduating from medical school in Baghdad, he went on to complete basic surgical training in the United Kingdom before specialising in urology. At Bristol Urological Institute, he completed a fellowship in Female, Functional, and Reconstructive Urology. In 2012, he received an MPhil degree from Newcastle University for his work on laser capture microdissection in transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy.
His andrology practice encompasses all aspects of erectile dysfunction, penile curvature, and ejaculation problems. He is able to treat men for general sexual issues or a lack of healthy sperm using medical therapy, surgery, and sperm retrieval procedures.
Dr Jabbar was the previous clinical lead for sacral neuromodulation at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in Wales, as well as the first provider of sacral neuromodulation to treat bladder overactivity, voiding dysfunction, and pain syndromes.
Mr Jabbar belongs to the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS), the European Association of Urology, the International Continence Society, the Royal College of Surgeons of Dublin, and the British Medical Association.
