He has broad experience in managing complex gastrointestinal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hepatic failure, and Barrett’s oesophagus, alongside providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services.
He has a strong interest in teaching and education and has authored a number of academic publications. Dr Anwar’s clinical practice encompasses general gastroenterology, colon cancer screening, and both upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy. He is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Irish Society of Gastroenterology, the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation, United European Gastroenterology, the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
