Dr Srinivas Lanka is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Adult Psychiatry
Liaison and Neuropsychiatry. He has specialist expertise in managing complex and long-
term health conditions. He is the co-founder and Medical Director of The London Psychiatry
Clinic.
Dr Lanka is motivated by personal experience to provide timely and compassionate help and
support to his patients as well as their loved ones. His approach integrates psychological
approaches with medical treatments and lifestyle interventions. Having worked across urban,
suburban and rural areas with a wide variety of demographic and ethnic groups, Dr. Lanka
understands the importance of understanding each individual's unique circumstances, taking
into account their preferences and the suitability of various treatment approaches. He
believes that difficulties emerge due to a complex combination of factors including genetics,
psychological tendencies, and from changes in social, environmental and emotional support
networks. He uses bespoke treatment approaches that work for each person, using a
combination of psychological, functional and medical protocols.
He also specialises in providing expert witness reports and medico-legal reports for family
and criminal courts, mental health review tribunals and the Court of Protection.
After gaining a Medical Degree from the University of Health Sciences in India, he pursued
psychiatry training in the UK. Following his membership in the Royal College of Psychiatrists
(MRCPsych), Dr. Lanka completed higher training in general adult psychiatry from Wales
Deanery. He specialised in general hospital psychiatry, community and in-patient psychiatry,
neuropsychiatry and forensic psychiatry before receiving his CCT (certificate of completion
of training) in general adult psychiatry with accreditation in liaison psychiatry. He has also
contributed to clinical research and published in a number of peer-reviewed publications and
journals.
In addition to his clinical roles as an experienced General Adult, Liaison and
Neuropsychiatrist, Dr Lanka also has considerable service development, research and
management experience. He currently assumes the role of the Medical Director for London
Psychiatry Clinic. In the past, he assumed the role of the Group Research and Development
Lead (in CAS behavioural health), chaired the Neuropsychiatry Steering Group (in Cygnet
Health Care) and worked as the Regional Medical director for Cygnet Health care.
