About

Dr Sarah Rylance is a Fertility Specialist, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist known for her patient-centred, compassionate approach to care. She completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2006 and undertook her specialist training at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, followed by advanced training at King Edward Memorial Hospital.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has completed additional subspecialty training in Maternal Fetal Medicine. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Reproductive Medicine and Fertility, reflecting her advanced expertise in reproductive health and assisted conception.

Dr Rylance currently works as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital, where she is actively involved in clinical care, teaching and research. She holds leadership roles including Obstetric Lead for Diabetes in Pregnancy, where she manages high-risk pregnancies, and Perinatal Loss Lead, supporting families through complex and emotionally challenging circumstances.

Having grown up in regional Western Australia, Dr Rylance is particularly attuned to the challenges patients may face in accessing healthcare services outside major cities. She is committed to working collaboratively with patients and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive, accessible and supportive care. Her clinical practice is guided by empathy, respect and a strong dedication to supporting patients throughout their fertility, pregnancy and gynaecological journeys.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
